Summary:
Under the direction of the Site Supervisor, the Camp Host is responsible for ensuring that their respective campus is ready and welcoming for all program participants.
The Camp Host will often be the first person that overnight participants (youth or adult) meet and are the face of the Glacier Institute.
This position will handle meal preparation at their designated site.
We are hiring four Camp Hosts:
two at Big Creek Outdoor Education Center (overnight youth education) and two at Field Camp (overnight adult education).
The Glacier Institute holds a wide variety of nature based courses, all with the mission to get people to fall in love with the outdoors.
Compensation:
Housing and meals for employees are provided at no cost.
Annual employee entrance pass into Glacier and Waterton National Parks.
Earn up to 40 hours of paid leave Participation in expert-led Glacier Institute catalog courses.
Friends and family discounts for all Glacier Institute courses (subject to availability).
$2300 monthly with a flexible, sustainable schedule.
Gratuities are also possible on guided educational courses.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service! Communicating well with guests and having a welcoming demeanor is the most important piece of this job Represent the Glacier Institute in its mission and goals Coordinate all menus and meal plans with the Site Supervisor Prepare all meals for course participants Assist Outdoor Education Specialists by greeting and directing participants to their course or lodging for their program Handle cabin turnover, bathroom chores, and other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor Safely operate 15 passenger vans/buses when needed Display confidence and comfort working in adverse environmental conditions (snow, rain, 0 F - 100 F temperatures, mosquitoes/ticks, hazardous wildlife, etc.
) All other duties as assigned Minimum
Qualifications:
Education A high school diploma Experience Providing top-tier customer service to a variety of customers Hospitality experience, preferred Cooking for large groups, preferred Skills and abilities Exceptional communication skills Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
Ability to carry load up to 50 pounds, if needed.
Self-motivated with the ability to efficiently work independently with little instruction or supervision.
Ability to work and live in remote, off-grid locations with limited cell-phone service or immediate emergency services.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
